The Texas State Fair
The peak of the Texas state fair is this weekend! Head on over to Dallas for an adventure filled with fantastical fried foods and take a picture with the iconic Big Tex as he greets you into this epic annual event.

Bishop Arts District
Come check out our fabulous neighborhood filled to the brim with spectacular restaurants and quaint shops! Our favorite restaurants include Eno's (where Lindsey worked after school her first years as a teacher), Boulevardier, and Emporium Pies. Come hungry!
Fort Worth Stockyards
A daily "cattle drive", many restaurants, and of course touristy shops line East Exchange ave. H3 Ranch, Lonesome Dove, and White Elephant Saloon are great places to grab an authentic Fort Worth meal.
Reata
A stunning rooftop and elegant interiors make this one of the most unique restaurants you'll ever encounter! With a menu rooted in true historical Cowboy culture, expect gourmet offerings ranging from Tenderloin tamales to Buffalo Ribeye. Save room for dessert - it's a must!
The Ginger Man Fort Worth
Lindsey opened this fabulous pub as a server and bar manager back when she first moved to Fort Worth in 2007. It's one of those crazy coincidences that Whit and Lindsey never met - because this was one of Whitney's favorite haunts while she was in grad school. With over 60 draft and 70 bottled beers from around the world and a fantastic menu (the French dip sandwich and artichoke dip are MUSTS) - this is a definite must do for a little taste of what your two favorite ladies loved most in the world.
Topgolf
This is a super fun experience if you've never tried it, but expect a wait if you go on a weekend day/night. Combine skeeball, darts, and a driving range with a full bar and food menu and you've got a one stop dinner and fun night. All skill levels can have a blast, even total beginners! Golf clubs are provided.

Another fun bar and craft beer destination with a great menu in the heart of the Near Southside District in Fort Worth.

Both a stunning architectural masterpiece and a museum among the country's finest for its offering of Modern Art.
Heim Barbeque
Come early, and come hungry! A newer addition to the metroplex BBQ scene, Heim quickly made a name for itself. Family owned with a daily menu written and posted on butcher paper (updated frequently as items sell out), expect not only incredible mouth-watering meats but delicious belt-busting sides.
Lockhart Smokehouse BBQ
If you're ready for a battle of BBQ, head on over to our neighborhood in Dallas for some of the best. Lockhart in Bishop Arts originated in the town of Lockhard, "The Barbeque Capital of Texas" - still known for some of the best sausage made anywhere in the country. Bring a friend or two, they sell meats by the pound (stacked high on butcher paper to take to your table) and keep the cold local beers flowing!
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
It’s Autumn at the Arboretum! The already stunning Botannical Gardens in Dallas transform each Fall with the installation of literally thousands of pumpkins and gourds into mesmerizing patterns and structures. As one of Dallas’ most instagrammable destinations and events, you just have to see it to believe it!
