UPDATE: We are sad to share that we have decided to postpone our anniversary celebration. This was a difficult decision, but we are concerned that the risk of the omicron variant is too great. We apologize for the inconvience and hope to celebrate in 2022.

Explore Chapel Hill

Author William Meade Prince called Chapel Hill "the Southern part of heaven," and we couldn't agree more. So many places in this beautiful town are near and dear to our hearts. Here are some of our favorites.
Cat’s Cradle

Cat’s Cradle

300 East Main Street, Carrboro, NC 27510
, (919) 967-9053

Where the cool kids go to see cool bands.

Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery

Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery

100 East Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
, (919) 929-8676

Whitney says, "Get the Old Well White beer with blueberries, or a Stoli Family if you're feeling reckless. Head out to the rooftop patio to watch people on downtown Franklin Street below."

Lantern

Lantern

423 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516
, (919) 969-8846

The site of our first date! The restaurant's James Beard award-winning chef, Andrea Reusing, fell in love with East Asian flavors while on an oversees tour with her husband's band, Superchunk. She fuses those flavors and techniques with local North Carolina ingredients and the results are magical. The cozy bar in the back is one of Whitney's all-time favorites. Get the Red Geisha cocktail if they have it.

Occoneechee Mountain

Occoneechee Mountain

625 Virginia Cates Rd, Hillsborough, NC 27278

Located in the charming town of Hillsborough, we hiked this 2.2 mile loop on our second date.

Old Well

Old Well

East Cameron Avenue, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
, (919) 962-1630

Legend says that if you drink from the Old Well on your first day of classes, then you'll graduate with a 4.0. Whitney did neither.

Carrburritos

Carrburritos

711 West Rosemary Street, Carrboro, NC 27510
, (919) 933-8226

Justin says, "Try the pork and ask for flour chips."

Merritt's Grill

Merritt's Grill

1009 South Columbia Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
, (919) 942-4897

Justin says, "You can't go wrong with a double BLT on sourdough with avocado."

The Station

The Station

201 East Main Street, Carrboro, NC 27510

The place where we always ended up by the end of the night.

Ackland Art Museum

Ackland Art Museum

101 South Columbia Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27599

Shrunken Head

Shrunken Head

The drive-thru biscuit spot beloved by locals, curing the worst hangovers since 1978.
