Lantern
The site of our first date! The restaurant's James Beard award-winning chef, Andrea Reusing, fell in love with East Asian flavors while on an oversees tour with her husband's band, Superchunk. She fuses those flavors and techniques with local North Carolina ingredients and the results are magical. The cozy bar in the back is one of Whitney's all-time favorites. Get the Red Geisha cocktail if they have it.
Occoneechee Mountain
Located in the charming town of Hillsborough, we hiked this 2.2 mile loop on our second date.
Old Well
Legend says that if you drink from the Old Well on your first day of classes, then you'll graduate with a 4.0. Whitney did neither.
