Justen and I are happy for you to celebrate with us and see the love we share. We first met in college where we sat next to each other. During our time together, we shared a lot of laughs and got to know each other. Don't ask him about this story because he would say I tried to cheat on his paper for a quiz. I guess that is his twist to the story. Lol. I could tell he was a little disappointed to know I was taken then but it never stopped him from being a friend. Although our lives took us in different directions, We always kept in touch like good friends do. I knew our friendship was genuine when I heard the response he gave me through Facebook messenger when I told him I was graduating. He said he was proud of me and that he loved me. Yes! he said "I love you" first. Lol. When I located to Winston-Salem and found out that Justen was in Greensboro, I was happy to have a friend close by. When we met each other again being both single, the possibility of being together seemed very promising. It took some crawling, small baby steps and even some adult conversations to get us here today. During the process It didn't feel strange but was very comforting to get to the place we are today. If you ask him, our first date was at a place called "The Best Diner" in Greensboro on December 19th 2016. I guess he had an agenda before I did. Lol. Although that was a nice so-called date, I felt like our first date was at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC on May 30th 2017 where we also went to Hops Burger afterwards. A man that didn't mind my chit chatter, never thought I was weird and don't mind doing things I wanted to do was my type of guy. In his heart, He knew I was the one when I came to take care of him one day when he was sick. In our situation, the second chance was far greater than the first. So we both can say it was LOVE AT SECOND SIGHT. Fast forward to July 26th 2020, Justen proposed to me among close family during a surprised cookout. I said Yes!!
