Harsens Island is a quaint, non-commercial getaway located 75 minutes from Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). Accommodations on the island itself are hard to come by, however, AirBNB and VRBO may have options. On the "mainland", you can find home rentals, Inns, or franchise hotels within a 30 minute drive of the ferry.
Champion Auto Ferry
The only way on or off the island is via car ferry. Each family will receive a round trip ferry voucher in your invitation to use for wedding day. If you make additional trips on and off the island, each round trip is $12 cash (collected as you come on to the island.) The ferry runs 24 hours a day, with rides every 30 minutes between midnight and 4:30AM. More information about the ferry here: http://hiferry.com/

Parking
Parking for the ceremony is available at Browne's Field, just a short walk to the ceremony. Guests who are unable to walk may be dropped off at 1420 N. Channel Dr.
