They were introduced by one of Whitney's co-workers who was dating one of Jason's co-workers. After a slightly awkward start to the evening, and a lot of standing around watching Jason finish up work, they got a few hours to chat and get to know each other. Whitney laughed at Jason's jokes (a rarity) and the relationship grew from there. (She still laughs once in a while!)

Jason asked Whitney to go on a special date to celebrate work accomplishments. Little did she know that not only would there be dinner, but Jason had planned drinks at one of their first date spots after. Whitney tried hard to talk Jason out of drinks after because they were so full from dinner, but he didn't go for it (not like usual). After dinner they headed to the Belmont Hotel where they had drinks with a great view of the Dallas skyline! After finding the perfect spot, Jason popped the question!! To which Whitney responded, "Is this for real?!?!".. It was a great night!
