Israel and Whitney met for the first time seven years ago their junior year of high school in English class. It wasn’t until the next year, their senior year in 2014 that they begun to hang out due to mutual friends and within a month started dating September 5th!
On Christmas Day 2018 at 1:00am, Israel and Whitney had just gotten home from a Christmas Eve party with Israel’s family. Israel made Whitney wait in their bedroom while he set up their living room. From the bedroom, all that Whitney could here was the ripping of duct tape which she later found out was because he taped his phone to a chair so he could record the whole proposal! Israel yelled “babe I have a present I want you to unwrap”. He showed Whitney this flat present the size of your hand that had been wrapped by a typical boy. Whitney said “right now?” and kept repeating “I’m scared”. She sat on the couch unwrapping this present and while Israel stood in front of her, he turned around to flip over this hand made sign he made that was colorfully lit up that said MARRY ME. He got down on one knee as they both cried, pulled the ring box out of his pocket, and asked her to marry him! The gift she was unwrapping was an ornament that had two hearts, an engagement ring, and a banner that said she said yes!
