Falling Moore in Love

In 2018, Whitney and Dennis met through two of their closest friends. Young, thriving, and exploring the city of Chicago, they had no idea that they had just met the person they would spend the rest of their lives with. They would casually explore the city and hang out from time to time through their mutual connections. Whitney, a professional dancer for the Chicago Bulls, and Dennis, just finding his footing in building a career for himself. They were both in a transitional phase of their lives. Years went by without them seeing each other besides occasional small talk on social media. Then, in December of 2021, they matched on a dating app. Deciding to rekindle their friendship, they started talking back and forth and catching up on life. However, shortly after, Dennis got Covid while on vacation in Mexico. Acting out of emotion, he asked Whitney out as soon as he returned from Mexico, but she was thinking with logic. She turned him down until he received a negative test result. After recovering he asked Whitney out again, only to be turned down a second time due to him asking her out on her birthday, New Year’s Eve. Simply said, he was trying to impress! Finally, the third time was the charm. A week later, on January 9th, they went on their first date to Trivoli Tavern in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. It was the best date Dennis had ever experienced — a natural conversation, filled with amazing laughter, alongside the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. In that moment, he knew that if she would have him, he had found his wife. Since that date, Trivoli Tavern has held a special place in their hearts. Now, together they have run marathons, traveled the states, prayed, and encouraged one another to be their best selves daily.
