That was true for Whitney and Chris. They met in the summer of 2019 by the way of two friends, Andria and Kelton. Whitney was out eating lunch with friends and was invited to join Andria, Kelton and his friends for a night out. Once there, Chris caught Whitney’s attention, but she was shy. They had a memorable night out with friends and luckily had some time to talk throughout the weekend. The two would periodically see each other throughout the remainder of the year at friends’ events - always having friendly conversations and positive interactions. It was not until Christmas Eve night 2019 when Chris sent Whitney a text message. Since that moment, they became inseparable. It felt like they had known each other their whole lives, and they became official in March at the beginning of quarantine. Their friendship and love for each other grew in the midst of the pandemic. They were each others’ answered prayers. Marriage was always the end goal, and in March 2022, Chris asked for Mr. Covington’s blessing to marry Whitney. It was the weekend leading up to Valentine’s Day, and Chris and Whitney went to visit their friends Ken and Katy Davison in Atlanta. What Whitney thought was just a great weekend with friends, unbeknownst to her, February 12, 2023 was the day her life would change. Chris surprised her with a romantic dinner, and she noticed he was a little anxious, but didn’t think much of it. After dinner, Chris takes Whitney to the hotel restaurant lobby, and she’s surprisingly greeted by his sister and brother-in-law. Chris gets down on one knee and asks Whitney to marry him. And here we are! The #TaylorMade wedding will be a weekend you’ll always remember, and they are so excited to say I do and celebrate with their favorite people!!!
