No, this is not Halloween-themed. Think more 'fancy masquerade." We will have some masks available or you are welcome to bring and wear one during the reception. We will have some references to Halloween and Day of the Dead throughout the event.
We are choosing to not have our ceremony begin until after havdallah (sundown) in the evening per Jewish tradition around Shabbat (the Sabbath). We would also like to ensure we get to spend time with our guests. Therefore, we will start the event with a cocktail hour with the bride and groom present ahead of the ceremony.
Feel free to go over the top with our masquerade, celestial, and tarot inspiration! We would like to request guests dress in complementing fall colors: ruby red and maroon, muted yellows or oranges, shades of green, navy blue, plum and burgundy purple tones, and neutrals such as brown and black. Dress is semi-formal: tuxes and suits welcome, gowns or cocktail dresses.
