When should I reserve my room?

Answer

Resort lodging needs to be reserved with our travel agent Abrianna by January 15, 2023 in order to take advantage of the group rate. A $400 deposit is required to reserve your room at the host resort. Please complete the registration form on the Travel Byrds website ASAP to connect with Abrianna (https://travelbyrds.com/a%26w-wedding). After the form on the travel agent website is completed, Abrianna will reach out to help with booking the accommodations and flight travel. However, if you have additional travel-related questions you may contact Abrianna at abrianna@travelbyrds.com or (517) 292-4086.

What is the attire preference for the wedding?

Answer

The couple has requested that all guest wear different shades of brown and tan (see our wedding color palette suggestions above). Beach Cocktail Wedding Attire is preferred. For questions, please reach out to the bride or groom.

Are vaccinations required for Mexico?

Answer

No, you are not required to have any type of vaccinations.

Are there any other fees other than the resort and travel fees?

Answer

As of April 1, 2021, the state of Quintana Roo will be requiring all foreign tourists to pay a tax of $244 Mexican pesos (around $11 USD) as a departure tax for Quintana ROO Cancun and Cozumel airports. The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during the stay, as the tax will be imposed upon departure. Visitors will have the option to access http://visitax.gob.mx/, where they will complete a brief questionnaire and make the payment. The VISITAX form will request the following information: • Number of people traveling • Name, age, and passport number of each individual • Departure date Every tourist departing the state of Quintana Roo must show their proof of payment at the airport prior to boarding.

What other costs are associated with the trip in addition to the travel package?

Answer

You will be responsible for: - All Meals and Drinks While Off the Property - Gratuities to Your Driver/Guide, Hotel Staff etc. - Travel and Medical Insurance - Items of a Personal Nature Such as Gifts, Laundry, Postage, etc.

Do you have a wedding registry? Where?

We are not doing a gift registry since we are focused on buying a new home together. Therefore, we are gladly accepting cash donations via Venmo, Zelle or debit/credit card. Please visit our Registry page.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Though the resort is family friendly, we want our guests to use this trip as a vacation themselves, enjoy their time and be present so we are asking to leave the children at home.

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Therefore, please contact Whitney and Anthony if you would like to request to bring a guest and they're not already listed.

What type of food will be served during the reception?

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course dinner and dessert.
