It all started with a swipe right....on Tinder. Anthony at that time had been on Tinder for about a month and I had just registered on Tinder that same day that I swiped right on his profile. He had already swiped right on me earlier so when I did so we matched immediately. He had the most adorable picture of his dog Cocoa, which was a Pomeranian. After we matched I waited. I always made it a habit for the guy to message me first and Anthony did after a few days. We talked for about a month through Tinder and Snapchat. Then in Nov., we went our first date. We met at Starbucks in Alma. The first thing I noticed about him was his very deep voice. He had called me right before we met up to make sure he parked in the right lot. And let me tell you, I thought I had the wrong guy on the phone lol. As I'm walking to Starbucks, I was anticipating to meet up with a guy who's over 6 ft. tall and super muscular. Well I was right on one of the two. He was ripped and super cute (and still is obviously)! Our date lasted all day with Starbucks, walking around campus, lunch at Mancino's, watching movies in my dorm, and going to see Halloween at the local movie theater. I really enjoyed every minute of it! And he must have too cause we ended up going on a couple more dates that month. On Nov. 17, 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history....

Nov. of 2021 was going to be our 3 year anniversary. Anthony had told me a couple months in advance that he was planning something special for our 3 year anniversary. All he'd tell me was it was going to be an extended weekend trip in Detroit over the Thanksgiving weekend. I was also hoping that he was going to propose to me during this trip, but I wasn't sure. He was set to graduate that semester from MSU, but I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I was just super excited to be able to spend some extra time with my favorite man for an extended weekend. We ended up going to the Thanksgiving Day Game at Ford Field against the Lions vs Bears, which I'm a huge Chicago Bears fan and this was my first time going to a professional football game. Anthony even got me a Bears sweatshirt so I could rep my favorite team (and the best team)! The Bears ended up winning and I was already super excited and the weekend was just getting started. The next day, he took me to the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts). Which I love going to art museums, but I really like this one cause it has some of my favorite artists in there! We're in there practically all day. Its getting near the end and he had told me previously that he had made dinner reservations somewhere special. I was getting tired and didn't want to have to rush to our dinner reservation, but we hadn't seen the 3rd floor and Anthony wanted to see some of the British artwork. I'm like ok, but we can't take too long. We're walking along and then all of a sudden Anthony stops walking. He holds me in his arms and says "All of this artwork is so beautiful to look at, but you're the most beautiful of them all." Which I'm like "AWWWWWW!" But I don't think anything is up cause he says things like that to me on any normal day. But then he lets go of me and starts rummaging through his pants pocket. I'm thinking what in the world are you doing getting your car keys out! We're in the middle of the art museum! I was very much confused at that moment but then it dawns on me that he has an engagement ring in that pocket! I was right cause then he get on one knee and asks me to marry him! And of course I say YES! I was so excited I couldn't put it into words! I was hoping that this was going to happen that weekend and I'm so glad it did! After he proposed, we went to celebrate at The Whitney where he had made the reservations at. And now we're almost at our next Big Day for August 27, 2022 to start the next chapter of our lives together!
