Things to do

Glacier National Park

MT

The famous going-to-the-sun road that takes you through GNP is less than a mile from our venue. We highly recommend doing some of this drive for some epic views of waterfalls, glaciers and wildlife! There are walking and hiking trails along the road that you can pull off and explore too! Check out The Red Bus Tours if you’d rather cruise the park in luxury in an open air bus :D ** Timed entry vehicle reservations are required for park entry between 7 AM and 3 PM and can be reserved online. Vehicle reservations will be available 120 days or approximately four months in advance. Next-day reservations will also be available at 7 PM daily for the dates around our wedding. Don’t wanna deal with getting a vehicle reservation? Just go into the park before 7 AM or after 3 PM when no reservation is required-just bring your national park pass! :)** For reference, the West entrance (which is the entrance near the venue) brings you immediately to Apgar Campground and Lake McDonald.

Glacier Raft Company

106 Going-to-the-Sun Road, West Glacier, MT 59936

Located just a few minutes from our venue, the Middle Fork of the Flathead River forms the southern border of Glacier National Park. There are several raft and fishing outfitters in the area that can help get you setup for a fun (and safe:) day on the water. You can reserve half or full day guided trips that will make all your white water rafting and fly fishing dreams come true!

Flathead Lake

MT

Check out Flathead Lake for all your lake fun! Flathead Lake is a huge freshwater lake located about 30 miles from our venue. Big Fork is the closest little town on the lake if you’re driving from our venue. Garden Bar and Whistling Andy’s are our favorite pit stops.

Whitefish Mountain Resort

1015 Glades Drive, Whitefish, MT 59937

Our favorite ski hill offers mountain biking, zip lining and huckleberry picking in the summer! The town of Whitefish has a mix of boutiques, coffee shops and some of the best food around. Our favorites include Tupelo and Abruzzo for dinner and The Bulldog Saloon and The Great Northern for happy hour!
