We met at a Young Life club in Arvada. It was the Annual Taco Bell challenge and Casey wanted more than just to stuff his face with burritos! After eating all the Taco Bell we could eat, Casey asked me if I had a Twitter. Thinking he might want to talk to me I promptly responded with, "I do have a twitter, but I don't use it so you shouldn't follow me." It wouldn't be until a Young Life Camp in Minnesota, Casey gets justice when I asked him to slow dance and he denied me. Although we didn't get to dance, I wrote my phone number on his hand along with a drawing of a spoon. We talked and talked and talked like teenagers do and now here we are!
One of our first dates was Casey and I going on a hike in Golden Gate Canyon in Golden, CO. I wanted to go on a hike to go see the autumn leaves change. We stumbled across a hike where the ending is a historic broken down cabin in a field full of Aspen trees. Years later, I told Casey I wanted to go on a hike one weekend and he knew exactly where he wanted to go. The weekend came and we drove up to the same hike we had gone on earlier in our relationship. The entire way we were going up this hike we were not sure if we were going the right direction and Casey insisted we have to find the cabin. Luckily, we found the cabin and after enjoying a Tree Top Apple Juice Casey kneeled down and popped the question.
