We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Jonny and I met in September of 2014. We met through mutual friends and always hung out in group settings. It began with group study sessions, double dates, IM sports and parties, but eventually we exchanged numbers and continued to talk. As the year went on, we quickly became captivated with each other. We became best friends and continued to grow together. Little did we know it then, we also became soul mates. Fast forward to 2019, we moved into our first apartment together in Grand Rapids. I was eager to start my job in the ER and Jonny was loving his current job. Grand Rapids was the place we had always talked about where we wanted to end up after college. The city has so much to offer and we loved the fact that we are not too far from either of our families or friends! Our first year in Grand Rapids was full of amazing memories in our first little place together. In May, 2020 we ended up moving into our second apartment together in Grand Rapids. It was in a new area, and was a major upgrade. We were in love the second we walked in the door. I started an accelerated nursing program at Michigan State and Jonny is still loving his job at Notions Marketing!

We planned a trip up north to Traverse City, as it was right on my two week break from classes. We headed up on a Thursday and Jonny had the whole day planned with many wonderful surprises. We started our day with a hike up the Empire Bluff Trail near Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was about a 3/4 mile walk through a trail in the woods. Once we got to the top though, there was the most beautiful view of sand dunes and bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan. We went a little off the path to a more private area and he got down on one knee. It was so perfect and was the best day of our lives! He then had planned to do another of my favorite things, we went to Frankfort and went to the pier and enjoyed the beach. We ended our night with a sunset dinner at Rocks Landing right on Crystal Lake. We continued to celebrate our engagement all weekend long!
