It all started in 1994 at James Monroe Elementary School. We were classmates and friends. From Pre K-3 to 5th grade we had what some of you may call "puppy love". Sadly we grew apart as we entered the 6th grade, but found each other our Junior year in High School. We began to remind each other of our bond by the phrase "I been here". We both attended Norfolk State University and graduated with honors. Upon graduation, Keenan was able to live his dream as a NFL player in Seattle and Oakland, but distance wasn't a challenge for us. The bond grew stronger and healthier. As some of you may know we both enjoy joking, playing, partying, and having fun; and we plan to do that until death do us part.

On March 3, 2018, Whitley planned a surprise Karaoke party for Keenan. She invited all of their friends and family members. Guest were allowed to sing songs of their choice, dance, eat, drink, and have a good time. At the end of the party, Keen suggested that he and Whit sing a song and thank everyone for coming. They chose to sing the song, Perfect Duet, by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce. In the middle of the song, Keenan got on one knee and asked Whit to marry him. And of course she said YES!!!!!
