Our First Date
 Our story began on an unforgettable Saturday afternoon, June 10, 2023, at Tellers Gallery & Bar. Neither of us knew what stepping through those doors would set in motion — a journey that would forever change our lives. It was there, in the warmth of our smiles laced with genuine kindness that we found something truly special. Throughout dinner, we shared stories of family, discovered mutual passions, and laughed—so much laughter—especially when we enjoyed complimentary shots and jokingly wondered if those were a sign sent from heaven above cheering us on! Little did we know, this was the beginning of an incredible adventure together. The evening took an even more spontaneous turn when we braved a downpour to make our way to Nash Vegas. There, we soaked in live country music and sipped cocktails until closing time. It was the perfect way to end a night that marked the first chapter of many more to come. First Year Together In our first year, we have created countless memories—each just as exciting as the last. We explored the hidden gems of Columbia and St. Louis, cheered for our favorite sports teams, enjoyed time with family and friends, celebrated personal victories both big and small, enjoyed weekend escapes and a week in Punta Cana. We have laughed, danced, and celebrated the love of friends and family at weddings, all while creating our own unique story. And then, I said "Yes!" 
On July 3, 2024, surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight, lanterns, and scattered rose petals, Derek took a knee at Gunter Hans to ask me to spend forever with him. In that magical moment, I said “yes,”. We knew that every step of our journey had led to that beautiful moment. I am forever grateful for taking the leap of faith to meet this incredible man on June 10, 2023, and I can’t wait to continue building a life full of love and adventure with him. Cheers to the love we share, the life we are creating, and all the many memories still to come. We are excited to celebrate our wedding day with you!

I admire her passion for caring for others, her unwavering dedication to family and friends, and how she gives 100% of herself to everything she does. She’s unstoppable, courageous, and her heart, kindness, and strength are unmatched by anyone else. I love being in love with her and the love she gives to me. She’s my everything, and I’m incredibly grateful for her in my life. So, once again, I’ll say it: 'What is there not to love about Whitley?'"
