Whitley and Chris met at the wedding of a mutual friend, Kelsey Mahoney. Kelsey has known Chris since middle school and met Whitley when she started working at SFS Architecture 7 years ago. She had a feeling they might hit it off, so, naturally, she tried to hook them up. They finally met on Kelsey and Matt's wedding day 4 years ago; and even though Whitley turned Chris down for a dance that night, they went on a date 5 days later and have been inseparable ever since! Fun Fact: Kelsey is also an amazing photographer who has captured all of the couple's best moments over the years, even their engagement photos!

Whitley and Chris were out on their standing monthly Date Night and were dining at the restaurant where they had their first date, but Whitley didn't think much of it as they had dined there several times since. Whitley was annoyed that Chris was on his phone for the majority of the dinner and didn't seem to like his food very much, but other than that it was a typical night out. As they were about to head out Chris popped the big question! It was quite the surprise for Whitley as the whole restaurant stood and clapped for them. Not to mention Chris had pre-planned and had their favorite photographer and friend Kelsey standing in the wings to capture the big moment. It was a night to remember with a nearby table sending them a congratulatory bottle of champagne. As they were headed home, Chris suggested they stop for drinks and continue to celebrate the night. Little did Whitley know their family and friends were patiently waiting for their arrival to congratulate the newly engaged couple! It was an unforgettable night for the both of them as it was filled with love, laughter, and those they love the most.
