FAQs

Question

Can I stay the night?

Answer

You are welcome to stay from Friday through Sunday, but we need to know ahead of time so we can have a head count for the camp and have linens available.

Question

What are the sleeping accommodations?

Answer

The cabins sleep several people, but the beds are mostly bunk bed style. Also, bathrooms are located apart from the cabins. The campground does not provide linens (most are twin-sized), but we can have rentals available with advanced notice.

Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

We both love animals, but this is a no pet venue. Please leave your furry family at home.

Question

Are there any other campground restrictions?

Answer

Camp Sylvester is a non-smoking campground; there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the premises. Being in the California mountains, fire is a very serious issue and we want to preserve its beauty for years to come.

Question

What should I bring for the weekend?

Answer

If you are staying the entire weekend, there are a lot of activity choices. The lake is a short half mile walk from the campgrounds and has swimming, hiking, kayaking, etc. There is a volleyball net, a basketball court, horseshoe pit, and archery range; all equipment must be brought in. Feel free to bring additional campground style games such as cornhole, washers, etc. And don't forget your towels, sunscreen, bug spray, and toiletries!
