We're getting married!

Morgan and Tyrek both attended Winston-Salem State University. During their first week of new student orientation in August 2016, they met at Hanes Mall. Morgan caught Tyrek's eye twice at the mall with her friend before introducing himself to her. After they initially met, they went months without talking until Morgan saw Tyrek again in Brown Hall lobby. Morgan initiated conversation with Tyrek and they formed a friendship. Morgan and Tyrek would hang out on a consistent basic with their friends. After returning to WSSU from winter break freshmen year, Morgan and Tyrek began to form a close bond with each other and realized they had a crush on each other. On April 28th, 2017 Tyrek asked Morgan to be his girlfriend. During their time at WSSU, the couple enjoyed traveling with each other, adapting to adulthood and strengthening their relationship. Their love continued while they both attended graduate school at North Carolina Central University. Morgan and Tyrek are always supporting each other physically, mentally, and emotionally. During their trip to Charlotte, Tyrek proposed to Morgan September 23, 2023 in front of a helicopter. Morgan was so surprised because she thought they were only to Charlotte for Carolina Panthers game. Tyrek and Morgan have grown a lot together while in their relationship. They are 2x HBCU graduates, first time homeowners, and great dog parents to their Butterscotch. Morgan and Tyrek are so excited about getting married. Morgan and Tyrek cannot wait to celebrate with their family and friends on February 24, 2024. #WhitfieldForTheWin
