Emily: I had been begging to go to The Kentucky Castle for a Murder Mystery Dinner for years. Little did I know, he had a grand plan pre-COVID-19 to take me to a Murder Mystery and propose in March 2020, but of course, after everything shut down, he had to shelve his plan. Fast-forward to August 2020, when he saw someone he knew post pictures at the castle and realized it was back open. He asked me out to dinner on September 2nd and told me to "dress nice", but would not tell me where we were going. He drove me out to Versailles, where I thought we were just going to enjoy a nice dinner (there was no way there was a ring box in his pocket!). We were early and started walking around the castle grounds. I was taking pictures on the castle roof when he led me down some stairs and around the (more boring) side of the castle; I was asking to go back up to the roof! We approached some arches in the castle garden, where he started to tell me how much he loved me, got down on one knee, and proposed! Luckily, he had a friend from work scope out a good location and take pictures. I was very distracted during the Murder Mystery Dinner, but we still solved the case!
