We’re getting married!

Funny story; we met through our moms. That’s the short version of it. The long version is that my mom (Cindy) and his mom (Kimber) worked together in Hamilton, Ohio back in the day. Then his dad (Greg) was relocated to Alabama for work right after Bryan’s 1st birthday (which I at 3 months old had attended) and that is where Bryan grew up. The years went by and mom and Kimber lost touch except for Christmas cards that were exchanged every year. I knew his family as the family with the Christmas card with the puppies on it and that is how my mom always referenced them when she talked about them so I knew who she was talking about (they had a couple of years where they had a litter of yellow lab puppies and their picture with the puppies was their Christmas card). The years went by again and Facebook became a thing where mom and Kimber were able to reconnect. Then during one of my breaks from nursing school mom, Allison and I took a trip to Savannah to visit other good friends that lived down there and mom said she wanted to grab dinner with Kimber and Greg one night. I was along for the ride and just thought sure whatever let’s go get dinner with them and that would be that. Little did I know that Kimber was on a mission to set her son up with somebody. We got to fishtails and soon after meeting her she insisted that I meet Bryan. After the fact Bryan and I were talking about and neither of us was looking to be set up or really wanting to meet anybody at the time. Kimber bribed Bryan to come down by promising to buy his beer, that’s what it took for him to get up off the couch and put his pants on after getting home from work. He came down, we met and talked, and his dad gave him a hard time and asked him if was going to get my number. He got my number, we went out on a date the next night and the rest is history.
