We’re getting married!

It all started with a swipe right for two young strangers. A date to Mexican and a few episodes of The Office later, I went home thinking “I’ve finally found him” (I know, how cheesy…) I even scared him off for a while after he told me he makes his bed every morning because my immediate response was “Well you’re stuck with me now”. Eventually a great friendship blossomed. We’d check in with each other randomly but never got together. Fast forward to Christmas of 2021, he came to help us pick out a new tree. Which, if you know Andrew, you know he’s a Grinch during the season. That’s when I REALLY knew he was the one. Payton and Andrew instantly became friends. Ever since that night, he has loved her unconditionally as his own. A poster board saying “Will you be my girlfriend”, a family of 3 turned to a family of 4 later, we are ready to say I Do’s. To commit ourselves to one another in front our family, friends, and God.

What can I say, the proposal was PERFECT. Andrew “hinted” to getting family pictures done, and I had a feeling he may ask then, so of course I was quick to set it up. After our photographer got the last couple shots in, he said “I’ve got one more I’d like to do” and dropped to his knee. I thought I would ugly cry when he asked because I’ve been waiting my whole adult life for him but instead I was speechless and couldn’t stop laughing! He was shaking and I was laughing. It was perfect. After the first sort of settled he said “Yah know, I had this whole speech planned out and I didn’t say one word of it”
