July 25, 2020 We have made the difficult decision to postpone our reception. On July 23 the Provincial Government put new regulations into effect (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/about-bc-s-health-care-system/office-of-the-provincial-health-officer/covid-19/covid-19-pho-order-nightclubs-food-drink.pdf) that directly impact our reception. With all of the restrictions implemented we know that we would be unable to give you all the awesome night you deserve, so we have decided to rain-check this event. We will be reaching out to all of you in the upcoming days to inform you of these changes. Hopefully things will calm down within the next year so we can find a chance to celebrate with all of you. We are still planning on getting married on our original date, we just need to wait to party a little bit. As we're sure you are all aware, communities across the globe are currently being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our guests is paramount, and we have adjusted our plans accordingly. Currently Dr. Bonnie Henry and the BC Provincial Government have rules regarding mass gatherings (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/about-bc-s-health-care-system/office-of-the-provincial-health-officer/reports-publications/covid-19-pho-class-order-mass-gatherings.pdf) set in place, limiting the number of individuals allowed at an event to 50. We made the difficult decision to reduce our guestlist so that our reception could proceed as planned. We were be doing what we can to ensure that social distancing measures will be followed; if you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to us. We have opened RSVPs again and encourage you to RSVP as soon as you can! We apologize for any sort of confusion; hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here! Thank for for visiting our page, and hopefully attending our wedding reception! Almost 3 years ago we had our first date after Fan Expo in Vancouver. Fast forward to August 29, 2020, and we finally made it extra official on Tonquin Beach in Tofino, BC. While our ceremony was small, our reception certainly won't be, and we can't wait to see all of your awesome faces in September!
