Originally Stephanie and Huell had known of one another other due to mutual friends, but they had never exchanged words prior to their first meeting. Their first initial meeting was at the Mcmenamins Market Street Pub in Downtown Portland by the Portland state University Campus. At the time Stephanie was beginning the transition to become a Residential Assistant for PSU and was about to move out (of the building they both lived in) in 3 weeks. When they first met it was not love at first sight though. It was Stephanie being too shy to talk to him or make eye contact and Huell thinking she was like her then-friend who was not very nice. At the end of the night the two parted ways, Stephanie infatuated and Huell put off. A week later Stephanie was doing homework in the downstairs commons since it was dead week for summer term, and Huell was walking in through the commons after hanging out with friends. They ended up talking for a few hours and exchanging numbers so they could "watch American Horror Story: Coven". Spoiler alert, never watched it because they are chickens. Instead they did homework and studied for a week straight for finals. Eventually, they passed their finals and went on their first date which lasted 12 hours. They later endured her time as an RA, his time in Russia and Kazakhstan, and their times in grad school. And now...here we are...
