Tiffany's Version (the right version): Tiffany and Kyle were brought together by a mutual love of tacos. They both showed up at a taco Tuesday running club where the group ran (or in Tiffany's case, walked) and then rewarded themselves afterward with some delicious tacos. Their first meal together was shared at Ki Mexico. There is picture proof of this. Kyle's Version: Tiffany and Kyle met after Kyle invited Tiffany to a trivia night at the Highland Table (which sadly no longer exists) via Facebook. How did Kyle invite Tiffany to trivia night before meeting her? That's a good question.
Plan A: Kyle's graduation ceremony for his Master's from the Air Force Institute of Technology was scheduled for the end of March, and his family was going to come into town to celebrate. While they were visiting, Kyle planned to take his family and Tiffany on one of his favorite hikes at Charleston Falls. He was going to propose in front of the waterfall and have his dad take photos. Unfortunately, Kyle's graduation was cancelled, and his family did not come into town, so this plan didn't work out. Plan B: Kyle planned to stick to his original plan with the hike and the waterfall, but instead of having his family there to celebrate and take photos, he decided to convince one of his friends to hide in the bushes. Unfortunately, Ohio closed all public parks, so this plan was also cancelled. The proposal: Kyle got the idea for his proposal from Tiffany. She wanted to take a picture in front of the "Greetings from Dayton" mural since they we were about to move to Nebraska. She set up the tripod, and they took photos. It dawned on Kyle that he could do the same thing in front of some other art. Two days later, Kyle made Tiffany get out of her pajamas and off the couch in order to take some photos in front of a mural that they always passed by and admired in the Oregon District. Tiffany was sassy because she didn't want to leave the comfort of her own home. Tiffany set up the tripod and slowly walked over to take a photo, and Kyle got down on one knee to propose. Tiffany laughed uncontrollably and said "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" before finally saying yes. Kyle tried to put the ring on the wrong hand, and then Tiffany corrected him while she shed some happy tears. Some bikers drove by blasting a song called "Highway of Love." This apparently wasn't part of the proposal. The first thing they did as an engaged couple was eat bao and drink champagne. They then called, video chatted, texted, and messaged their family and friends to share the news.
