Can I bring a plus one/my kids?

Answer

Your invitation will specify if a plus one or children are included. Due to venue capacity, we kindly ask that no additional guests be brought. We look forward to celebrating with those listed on your RSVP. Thank you so much for understanding!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 15th although early RSVPS are greatly appreciated!

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Answer

Walker Homestead kindly allows guests to leave their cars overnight to ensure everyone gets home safely. They ask that all vehicles be picked up by 9 AM the next morning to make room for any events scheduled that day.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm so we kindly ask that you plan to arrive by 4:15pm to find your seat. We can't wait to celebrate with you and want to get the party started!

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. (Let's pray for a beautiful day!) The remainder of the reception will be inside with the exception of the outdoor dance floor!

How can I get to the venue?

Answer

A shuttle will leave the Hilton Garden Inn Iowa City Downtown at 3:45PM to take guests to the ceremony. The shuttle will run from 9:30PM until the end of the reception to take guests back to the hotel.

Is it okay to take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you please turn off your phones and cameras and be fully present with us during the ceremony. We’ve chosen to keep this moment unplugged so we can see your smiling faces, not your screens, as we say “I do.” Once dinner and the reception begin, feel free to take all the photos you’d like!
