We are so excited to say that we are proceeding as planned! If you have any questions, or concerns about how we and Mission Point plan to handle the intricacies of this event please reach out. We have decided to postpone the Minnesota Reception at this time.

Mackinac Island has always been a special place to me as it was an annual family voyage from Bay City up Lake Huron to the island. Being a horse lover I have always enjoyed the important role horses play on the Island. My first long bike ride happened on the Island, I was 8 and it was a 13 mile trip, up hill both ways...I swear...I have witnesses! - Britt Prior to touring the island for wedding venue options I had never been. I immediately fell in love with the island, from the scenic views, to the old-timey Main Street, to the experience of no cars on the island! I couldn't imagine a more unique and fitting venue! - Jason We truly want our wedding to be more than a quick “hi thanks for coming”, we want it to be an experience we share with our loved ones. From biking, to hiking, and paddling (all things we love doing) to the famous fudge, we hope that you fall in love with the Island as much as we have and are able to share this experience and special day with us!
The drive is 8.5 hours in total. The beauty of it is once you are in the Upper Peninsula (aka the UP) if you get bored just pull over and hop in Lake Michigan. On the occasions I have broken the drive up I have found the following cities to be good stopping points: Menominee, MI is just across the border in the Upper Peninsula and 5 hours from Minneapolis Escanaba, MI is another hour beyond Menominee
No. Ferries depart from both the Upper Peninsula (St. Ignace) and Lower Peninsula (Mackinaw City). If you choose to travel across the bridge there is a $4 toll each way
Pellston Regional Airport (PLN) has daily direct flights to and from Detroit (DTW)
Yes, absolutely! Please make sure to let us know, or include it in your RSVP
All transportation is by foot, bike, or horse drawn taxi (yes you read that right - no vehicles are allowed on the island) - we promise it makes for a pretty unique experience though!
Absolutely!
