One unforgettable week at a work conference changed everything. We were both staying at the Marriott Sanibel Harbor Resort, on the 10th floor. A major hurricane had recently swept through the area, and the resort was still experiencing electrical issues from the storm. On our way to the same class, we found the elevators were down. Christina, in heels, wasn’t thrilled about walking down ten flights of stairs—while Jeff was already falling in love at first sight. Despite the rocky (and steep!) start, something magical happened. Cupid struck, and that week turned into one of the best times of our lives. We laughed, learned, and formed a connection we never saw coming. Ten months later, Jeff proposed. Of course, I said yes!
