FAQs

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Taxi/Uber: While not listed on the Calgary Zoo website, our guests can be dropped off at the South Security entrance. 1300 Zoo Road NE. This entrance is a shorter walk within the zoo to get to our venue than the North Entrance (210 St Georges Drive NE) Driving: If you are driving, please park at the North Entrance (210 St Georges Drive NE). If you have limited mobility, please contact us to discuss access. Public Transport: The easiest way to take city transit to the zoo is the CTrain line. The Northeast line (Route 202 or the “Blue” line) will take you to Zoo Station. When you arrive, make your way to the North Gate Entrance – it’s less than a five-minute walk. The zoo grounds are large. Please arrive with enough time to make it to our venue within the grounds before our ceremony

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail. This includes a cool suit and tie, a well fitting button up and slacks, a snazzy jumpsuit, or a tea length/knee length/midi dress. We want you to feel both comfortable and classy on our day! We just ask that you do not wear t-shirts, jeans, etc., and that you avoid colors typically reserved for the bride (i.e. white or ivory). The ceremony will be held outside on grass and the reception will be held in a conservatory with access to hot and humid plant rooms. Please keep this in mind when planning your outfits!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids and are excited to have some of our own one day, but both the ceremony and reception will be 18+

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As much as we would love to say the more the merrier, we are limited by the venue on how many people we can host. Unless your invitation specifies a +1, we ask that only invited members attend.

Question

Will dinner be provided?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing a dinner. Please note on your RSVP if there are any dietary restrictions so we can pass those along as soon as possible!
