When should we come into town?

Answer

For those who can accommodate, we will be hosting a welcome party for everyone invited to the wedding the evening of Friday, July 10th, and we hope you can come celebrate with us! However, feel free to come into town whenever it works with your schedule! We have plenty of incredible food and activity recommendations if you wish to come earlier, just check the "Things To Do" tab!

Where should we stay? Do you have a specific hotel block?

Answer

You are welcome to stay wherever you like, but we do have a contracted hotel block at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland with discounted rates of $149-159 per night (please book through our personal booking link to book with the discounted rates). Payment will only be due upon your arrival at the hotel. We also provided more hotel options and details that you can find on the "Travel" tab. Of course, there are plenty of Airbnb options throughout the city as well if you prefer a rental! What is the date and time of the wedding?

The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 11th. Guests may begin entering the venue at 4:30 pm. If you arrive extra early, feel free to kick back at Loyal Legion while you wait!

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The venue is The Evergreen at 618 SE Alder St, Portland, OR 97214. There will be a sign outside where you enter on the ground floor, and the ceremony and reception will take place on the second floor. There are stairs or an elevator if you need. If you have any trouble finding the entrance, feel free to ask the staff at Loyal Legion for help - Loyal Legion is a bar on the ground floor, which is where the cocktail hour will take place.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Please plan to arrive early, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm. We recommend arriving by 4:30 pm. Late arrivals may not be allowed entry until after the ceremony. If you plan to drive and park near the venue, please plan to arrive an additional 15-25 minutes early, as there is no designated parking area.

The wedding reception will conclude at 11:30 pm. Anyone looking to keep the festivities rolling is welcome to walk around the corner to Panther Club (726 SE 6th Ave, Portland) afterwards!

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

The venue is in a metropolitan area and, as such, parking is limited to first-come, first-served street parking, typically with payment and time restrictions. We highly recommend using a Ride Share service like Lyft or Uber (or walking if you live or stay nearby) in lieu of bringing a personal car to the venue.

We highly recommend using a ride-share service like Lyft or Uber to get to and from the venue. There is some first-come, first-served street parking, with payment and time restrictions. There is a small paid parking lot across the street on 6th and Alder St. We cannot guarantee parking, so please plan to arrive early enough to find parking if you plan to bring a car. What is the dress code?

Our wedding attire is Semi-Formal. We recommend suits, jackets, or tailored looks, along with midi or longer dresses or other elevated attire. Think polished and elevated, with plenty of room to show your personal style.

What kind of weather and conditions can we expect?

Answer

All main wedding events, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, will take place indoors at The Evergreen on July 11th. We will have a welcome party on July 10th as well that will be indoors at Brix Tavern (Pearl District). The weather in Portland in July is typically hot and sunny with some slight humidity, with temperatures typically ranging from 60ºF in the early morning to 90ºF at peak heat, though temperatures may increase beyond that in the event of a heat wave. Rain is unlikely, but always a possibility in the PNW. We advise you to continue to monitor the weather forecast as the date approaches.

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you and are grateful for your love and support. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you wish to give a gift, we have set up options for contributing to our honeymoon adventures and future home fund, as we have been blessed with everything we need. Your support means the world to us and will help us create cherished memories and build a beautiful future together. That said, we completely understand that some guests prefer giving a physical gift, so we’ve included a small selection of items in our registry that we would also love in our home.
