Our story begins when we were kids playing church league softball in Sedalia. We were competitors and were constantly fighting for 1st place. Eventually, we became teammates when his dad became the pastor of my church. He came to my school our Freshman year of high school and I was the only one he knew. We became good friends during this year. During our Sophomore year, we were officially girlfriend and boyfriend on November 11, 2019. Since then, we have been deeply in love. We truly believe that the Lord has placed this love for each other in our hearts. We trust His plan for our lives as we start this new chapter of life.

He planned for us to take some pictures down at the river in Paducah, but when we got to Lone Oak, he said, "Let's just go on to Illinois." I was very confused but said, "Okay!" We continued to drive until we reached the Garden of the Gods. Just minutes away from our destination, it started to snow. We went up the trail to a familiar place, he grabbed my hands, got down on one knee, and asked my to be his wife! With snow in my hair and excitement in my chest, I said yes! God is so good!
