I met Ian at work and instantly felt comfortable with him! After working together for a couple of months, we were tired of being "harassed" by our co-workers about when we were getting together - so we did! I knew he was the one on our first date. We went to Starbucks, Target, swimming, and then back to my house for dinner. My beloved cat, Topaz, sat on his lap almost instantly after he sat down. Topaz rarely sits on my lap, so when she sat on his, I immediately knew he must be "the One." Her judgment never fails! Ian also met my late cousin, Melissa, who threatened him after I left to grab something from her apartment. She told him that if he ever hurt me, she would make him regret it! He never has, so I was fortunate enough to be able to include this story in her eulogy! We've been together since June 30, 2016, and it has been the longest but shortest, easiest yet hardest journey I've ever had with anyone. I wouldn't change anything about him for the world, and I can confidently say that he feels the same about me. Yes, I bully him into putting his seatbelt on before he leaves his parking spot, and yes, he taunts me about how much I hate to do the dishes (I'd rather be sewing!), but what we have is uniquely ours, and I cannot wait to officially bond us together forever.
