Whiskey Bent, Hale Bound

Shawn and I officially met through a mutual friend’s birthday at melody ranch. However, we didn’t actually hang out until a few weeks later at the silos haunted house. Which led to an entire weekend of being inseparable, which came so natural for us. Sunday came and it was time to go back home. We lived in two different towns at the time. Little did we know then, that fate had other plans for us.

Over time Shawn and I came back into each other’s lives multiple times over the years. Neither of us were ready to give the other our all; so we remained friends. Occasionally we would get together to hangout with friends and catch up. There was always something there, but neither of us was brave enough to act on it.. yet. February 9th, 2019 we went on our first official date. Although we acted as if we were together all the time, neither of us was ready. We both had our own lives and went through a lot over the years since we first met. But one day soon, that all came together.

In the beginning of February 2020 Shawn and I came back into each others life’s daily. We both had changed so much. February 16th 2020 we had our second first date. It was like no time had passed at all. We became inseparable all over again. February 21st we decided we deserved a chance at happiness. We deserved each other. It was time to act on that and stop running from it. We’ve been through alot since then but our love has never faded. We’ve laughed we’ve cried we’ve yelled we’ve smiled. We’ve loved. Hard and unconditional. You will forever be my best friend. December 23rd,2022 came.. I got off work and Shawn met me at my car door to open it and get me inside and out of the cold. He decided I needed a Christmas present early. I unwrapped a small box but told myself to not jump to conclusions. It could be earrings.. it was empty. Highly confused, I looked up to see my best friend on one knee and asked me to marry him. I can not wait to start this new chapter of our lives and to spend eternity with you my love🤍
