A great American restaurant that has been an all-time favorite and go-to for the Walker family. A reservation would most likely be needed for dinner, but you're good to go for lunch!
A great hidden and laid back brewery with good beer and food truck visits on the weekend.
Take some time to walk along the streets of Old Town Alexandria, filled with tons of great boutiques, restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops! Our favorites- Old Hat Bar, Blackwall Hitch, The Fish Market, Landini Brothers, Thai Signature, Don Taco, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream, Pop's Old Fashioned Ice Cream.
We highly suggest you spend a few hours or half the day taking a water taxi down the Potomac River from the Old Town Alexandria waterfront to the Georgetown waterfront (one-way or two-way). On your 45-minute ride, you can enjoy views of the Washington Monument, Ronald-Reagan Washington National Airport, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Watergate Complex, Theodore Roosevelt Island, and more! Lastly, you can finish up your visit with a meal at Farmers Fishers Bakers, Nick's Riverside Grill, or Fiola Mare and some shopping a few blocks up from the Georgetown waterfront on M St.

Anything from walking or scootering around the White House and Monuments (National Monument, World War 2 Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, etc.), to experiencing the many art and history museums the city has to offer, to eating at some of DC's most classic restaurants (Old Ebbitt Grill, The Hamilton, Ben's Chili Bowl, etc.)
