Acton is a bit off the beaten path, but there are plenty of hotels within a 20-30 minute radius in Sanford, Wolfeboro & Dover. We’ve listed the ones we recommend in our ‘Travel & Lodging’ page & will be providing transportation to & from the Lake Wentworth Inn in Wolfeboro. There are also plenty of BnBs in the area!
Yes! There will be a shuttle to & from the venue for guests staying at the Lake Wentworth Inn in Wolfeboro. For those staying in the area & want to take advantage of the transportation, additional parking is located at the Nick next door to the LWI.
We are having a BBQ buffet dinner with brisket, chicken, mac & cheese, and other favorites - you don’t need to choose your option ahead of time. If you have any severe food allergies, please let us know, otherwise, there should be something for everyone.
Semi-formal attire; we ask that you don’t wear jeans, sneakers, polos, or other more casual options. Things like khakis & a button-up, suits, tie or no tie, long & short dresses are all ok. New England in September can still be pretty warm, but it also can start to cool off at night in our area. The barn is climate controlled, but I’d be sure to come prepared for whatever the weather might bring - we’ll hope to be both inside & out.
We ask that you please RSVP by August 1st as most vendors require us to confirm a final headcount 1 month prior to the wedding. If you don’t RSVP by then, bring a sandwich & a chair 🙃
Please plan to arrive around 3:30-3:45 & no later than 3:50 so you have enough time to find your seat before the ceremony begins. If you are going to be later than 3:55, you will be met by a “road closed sign” that will be removed after the ceremony concludes at 4:30 as to not disrupt. If you find yourself running late, you could stop at Willy’s or Iron Tails to wait it out….
Only those who receive an invitation that explicitly says “Your Name and guest” are welcome to bring a date. We hope you understand and respect our wishes.
We LOVE your kiddos, but ask that unless they are explicitly listed on your invitation that you make plans for your someone else to hang with your kids for the night so you can party with us worry-free.
