We're So Exuberant To Celebrate With You!

Our love story began in the most unlikely of settings... while practicing Russian on the fourth floor of a condemned Army hotel! Back in 2017, Ryan and Jenn's respective Army careers brought them to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, home of Special Operations and the Airborne. During a 6-month Russian language course, these two Army brats realized there was more going on here than simply "blini and caviar." Jenn couldn't help but stare at Ryan's wry smile and enjoy his sense of humor (a sentiment not always shared by their instructors!) Meanwhile, Ryan couldn't shake the feeling that Jenn was somehow… different… in all the best ways! Fiercely independent, well-traveled, and passionate in her pursuits, Jenn shared with Ryan a wanderlust to understand and explore the world! This prospect of love was fraught with danger, for you see, in the Army fraternization amongst students is punishable under the Code of Military Justice! Tip-toeing around regulation, Ryan and Jenn became fast friends and, when all their classmates backed out of a trip to romantic Asheville at the last minute, they decided to risk a fatal attraction and commit to the trip together (whether this was deliberate or not on account of the classmates, we shall never know…) It was on this trip during a beautiful morning at the Sunny Side Cafe, sipping mimosas, that human nature conquered protocol and the two declared their love for one another. The rest is history! Three years of memories later Ryan and Jenn have backpacked through Iceland, deployed to Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, and Germany, and introduced the affectionate & indefatigable Australian Shephard, Indy, into the household. In July of 2019 Ryan finally popped the question at the top of Mt. Lincoln, altitude 14,293 ft, hoping that the lack of oxygen would emancipate Jenn of any reservations. The plan must have worked, because Jenn gasped “YES!” Talk about an emotional end to an emotional day! We can't wait for this exciting new adventure to begin!
