With a few weeks left in Knoxville, we were enjoying ourselves and time with our friends. Coincidentally, or maybe not so much by accident, we both ended up at our favorite place to dance in Knoxville - Hanna’s on the strip. Locking eyes from across the room, we - perhaps subconsciously - decided to meet in the middle. Turns out that night of fun and dancing would seal our fate together. We saw each other every day for the next three weeks (sorry Anna and Maddi). After one night in particular, after knowing each other for a week, we both called a close friend of ours, respectively, saying, “I think (he/she) might be the one!” Our feelings for each other were strong, but the road ahead looked, well, less than smooth. Caroline moved to Atlanta for a job. Austin moved to Memphis to finish undergrad. It would be two years of a long distance relationship with countless miles driven back and forth between the two cities. Then, in 2018, Austin moved to Atlanta after graduation. FINALLY, we were together in the same city and free to enjoy each other as much as we saw fit - which was a lot as you can imagine - and eventually moved in to our first apartment together in Buckhead (yeah, we are a little boujee). After a year and half together in Atlanta, we moved to Arizona. First, in Scottsdale (again a little boujee) and finally settling in Central Phoenix. Arizona has given us so much in a short time. Most importantly, it has given us the time to carefully kindle our relationship into a fire that runs hot (but it’s like a DRY heat).
