What's up Dawks?

Alright so BOOM! It's 2019 and both Brandon and Antoinette are attending events at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. They just so happen to be in each others first group at a Young Adults mixer in April, but nothing comes of it. Fast forward to vacation bible school on a hot summer's day in early July, where Brandon arrives a little too late. (which he neeever does btw.) He misses the first session trying to find the correct building to attend because a kind church auntie entraps him in conversation on the sidewalk rather then directing him to the proper location. Who just so happens to be walking towards him to save him from this conversation? None other than Antoinette of course, accompanied by Debreka. He stops them asking, "Are you all young adults? Where did you meet today?" Antoinette, remembering his face from the previous event in April, gets to blabbering on about all the inner workings of VBS and how to make sure he knows where to go and when. Brandon, tired from a days work and being talked to for an hour or so and clearly too tall to notice, is oblivious to her cheesing hard under her UH baseball cap. They say their goodbyes, and Debreka tells Antoinette she was being very obvious in her attraction to him. Over the next few days, Antoinette and Brandon are in the same class for VBS where they hardly speak to one another. Then comes Friday, where all the young adults sit together and share their Instagram accounts with one another. Later on during that fateful night, Brandon sends the DM that was *pinged* around the world...or just Antoinette's apartment; "I think you're amazing....You're a teacher right?" From there, they went on a 12 hour first date, followed by several church events and two more day long dates before Brandon nervously asked/yelled "Do you have a man!? You want one?" on August 1st, 2019 at The Conservatory Downtown. They then dated for four years until they got engaged at the very same church they met at! Brandon planned an exceptionally special day for Antoinette from the moment she woke up until the moment she said "YES!" No detail was left untouched! With the help of many amazing friends and family members (you know who you are ;) and despite the torrential rain all day, they still managed to have a beautiful photoshoot in Galveston and even more stunning engagement set up at Wheeler. The newly engaged couple were abuzz with wedding fever for quite some time afterward. They soon decided to have an intimate wedding with immediate family on July 12, 2024, the 5 year anniversary of their meeting! It was a small but beautiful ceremony, that was later celebrated at the small food hall where their relationship began, The Conservatory Downtown. Which brings us to today! The couple now is continuing to enjoy being newlyweds. They feel so blessed to have found each other when they did and are excited to share this continued celebration of their love with guests like you soon!
