Even though Lauren and Jake were at UCF (go Knights!) at the same time, their love story did not begin until a couple of months after Lauren graduated. In August 2020, Lauren visited campus, where Jake was finishing his last semester. She met up with their mutual friend, who was Jake’s roommate at the time, and that is when they met. They exchanged Snapchats, then phone numbers, and from that day on they talked every single day. They quickly connected over Lauren’s love for Hamilton and baking and Jake’s passion for disc golf and his final college classes. Before long, they were inseparable. On January 21, 2021, Jake asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. The years that followed were filled with adventures, new cities, and building their lives together. They moved in together in July 2023, and later that year they welcomed the best dog ever, Milo. In May 2025, they took their first big trip together to Italy, and on May 20, 2025, Jake proposed in beautiful Lake Como. They celebrated throughout Venice, Florence, and Tuscany and discovered a shared love for tiramisu. Lauren and Jake are so excited for the future and cannot wait to celebrate with everyone they love.
