Things To Do

Santa Cruz has the perfect mix of redwoods, the ocean, wine, beer and fun! We've collected our favorite activities in the area. Santa Cruz can get very crowded so be sure to do your research and plan outings accordingly.

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

101 North Big Trees Park Road, Felton, CA 95018
, (831) 335-4598

Located in Felton, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park’s wheelchair and stroller-accessible Redwood Grove Trail circles around the park’s oldest and largest trees. More trails crisscross the San Lorenzo River and its steep, redwood-covered canyons

Capitola State Beach

141 Esplanade, Capitola, CA 95010

A quaint seaside village exists in the colorful, seaside shops and restaurants tucked into a hillside along Soquel Creek. Wandering the village and its bay front promenade — window shopping and snacking along the way — is a quintessential part of any Santa Cruz experience. Be sure to find the salt water taffy store! This is great place to grab some lunch, go shopping, or have a beach day!

Roaring Camp

5401 Graham Hill Road, Felton, CA 95018
, (831) 335-4484

Visit the areas's first railroad (1875!) and the surrounding town. Go for a nature hike, take a ride of the steam train, and admire a historical California town.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

400 Beach Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
