We had one class together at George Fox, and lived in buildings right beside one other. Weston's favorite moment to recall is when he would say, "Hi" every morning and I would squeak a quick hello before darting to class with my head down. He was confident and attractive... I was much more timid. After college, a few heartbreaks, illnesses, societal shifts, a pandemic and in the midst of one of Oregon's most destructive forest fires - he messaged me on Instagram. At first we quoted the office back and forth, then we took a deep dive into politics, religion, and our lives us since college. We have not spent more than a week apart since that first day by the river. The same river where Weston proposed on April 9th.
