We live at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and just a short distance from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is the most visited National Park in the United States and offers beautiful views, numerous hikes, and activities. We highly recommend taking a scenic drive through Cades Cove or along the Foothills Parkway.
Voted the number one theme park in America recently. Dollywood is settled right in the mountains and is a great place to experience the charm of the area! It's the perfect place to spend the day with family, especially if you have kids. You will find roller coasters, rides, live music, an area just for kids, and southern food.
There are so many things to do in Gatlinburg including eating, shopping, and activities. We recommend a few things: Anakeesta is an adventure park on top of a mountain in downtown Gatlinburg. There are zip lines, hanging bridges, mountain coasts, and shopping and dining. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is a fun place to visit and the perfect spot if you want to stay out of the cold outside air. Old Smoky Distillery is a local shop that offers a taste of East TN moonshine with tours and tastings.
Knoxville has so many options on things to do! Market Square in the center of downtown is filled with a ton of restaurants, shops, and coffee spots. The Knoxville Zoo is a family-friendly place to visit! There are red pandas, elephants, giraffes and a ton more. Top golf in West Knoxville (Farragut) is a fun activity for groups. Maple Hall Bowling in downtown is a vintage styled bowling alley with food and cocktails.
A great place for local food, brews, and ice cream!
A tex-mex style restaurant in West Knoxville.
A local favorite in Alcoa. Here you'll find live music and great food!
A great place for burgers in downtown Knoxville!
One of our favorites! The food is great and you'll have views of the water while you eat.
