Please kindly respond on our website as soon as your plans are firm but not later September 19, 2025.
We have decided not to create a traditional registry at a retailer. Your presence on our wedding day is more than enough, but if you choose to give a gift, we would be so appreciative of a contribution to our future together.
While we love all the kiddos in our lives, we have decided to keep our wedding events 13+ and only those guests listed on the invitation. If you would like to travel with your children, we would be happy to help connect you with a trusted local sitter for the weekend. We appreciate your understanding!
The Arboretum provides a large parking lot directly outside our venue. Please enter at the corner of Garland and Lakeland, across from Smoky Rose restaurant. The parking lot will be immediately on your right. The Arboretum has several venues within the grounds. Please be sure to navigate to the Alex Camp House to ensure you arrive at the parking lot for our venue, which is the only way to enter for our wedding. While wedding crashing could be fun, we don’t want you to arrive at the wrong event… we want you all to ourselves! Alex Camp House 8525 Garland Rd Dallas, TX 75218
Our dress code is creative black tie preferred. Think traditional black tie with a little razzle dazzle. Men can incorporate a colored suit jacket, textured tie, unique pocket square or socks. Ladies can opt for exciting patterns and textures, formal separates, or statement accessories.
The event will be primarily outdoors to maximize enjoyment of the beautiful Dallas Arboretum with limited indoor space in the historic Alex Camp house. The ceremony will take place on a lawn in one of the gardens. Dinner will be on a turfed area and will be tented. In the case of rain, the entire event will be under the tented reception area.
October is the most popular month to get married in Texas because the weather finally cools off (from 100). The days range from 75-90 and nights are typically 60-70. Since we will be outside, we recommend ladies bring a shawl for late evening if you tend to get cold. Or just join us on the dance floor where it’s guaranteed to be hot hot hot!
DFW is very car-dependent, but your desire to have a rental car will be highly dependent on how much you want to explore the city on your own. Ride apps are plentiful and usually relatively cheap within the city (usually under $15 for most routes). Rides to/from the airport range from $25-45 depending on the time of day. We will provide a shuttle service to and from the hotel for the wedding itself. There are several dining options that are walkable from the Hotel Crescent Court and other hotels nearby.
We will have shuttle bus from the Crescent Court Hotel to the Arboretum and a return trip after the wedding. You are welcome to take the shuttle even if you booked other accommodations.
