We met on the dating app, Hinge. One night while on a family vacation, Katherine’s family collectively decided who she should respond to, and Grant made the cut. Our first date did not exactly go as planned. Grant had to cancel last minute and reschedule for the next day, and Katherine managed to lose her car, adding an extra hour of wandering around trying to find it, definitely not to get more time together. But despite the chaos, we quickly fell into an easy, natural rhythm. We bonded over discovering we shared the same favorite holiday and over the little moments that helped two people who usually keep their guard up let it down surprisingly fast. From there, everything just fit. We stepped into each other’s lives as we met family and friends, celebrated milestones, took whirlwind trips, and said yes to unexpected adventures. Rain or shine, every moment has felt both exciting and grounding. Along the way, we have become each other’s partners in everything, laughing, dreaming, and trusting completely.
