Liberia is a one hour drive or shuttle ride to the hotel so this is what we recommend. San Jose is generally the cheaper airport to fly into but it is a 4 hour drive. We don't recommend this unless you want the cheapest possible flight. As long as you have Google Maps/GPS you shouldn't have an issue but it is a long drive.
Yes! Also it is a good idea to ensure it does not expire soon (within a few months of arrival) or you could have issues getting into the country.
Tropical Elegant (yes we made it up) but we want you to be comfortable and look good at the same time. Anything from floral dresses, tropical button ups (nice ones please) or a good linen suit. Ladies, please leave the heals at home, the venue is outside and the ground is hard packed sand.
We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be a vacation for you, too! We know this might include the whole family so feel free to bring the kids if they can't stay with the grandparents!
Yes, we will have a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and a short 1/2 mile shuttle from the hotel to the venue the day of the wedding.
Yes, driving in Costa Rica isn't too bad but we'd prefer you shuttle unless you are going to be staying in Costa Rica and traveling after the wedding. This just adds time and complexity and isn't worth it unless you need the car afterward. There are also car rental agencies in Tamarindo where the hotel is so you can always pick up a car the day after the wedding. There really won't be time to go exploring Thursday-Saturday and Tamarindo has plenty to do!
Touchy subject, just ask John ;)
