WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Kirsten and Lucas met in high school, yes, it’s one of those stories. Lucas was a senior, about to graduate, and Kirsten was a junior. Somehow, they went all through high school without crossing paths, even though Lucas was best friends with Kelsey’s, Kirsten’s best friend, stepbrother – small world. One day, Kirsten and Kelsey were hanging out, having a great time when Kelsey decided she desperately needed Doritos. Yes, Doritos. Now at the time, neither Kelsey or Kirsten had a car, so they reached out to as many people as they could to see who would be generous enough to give them a ride – and you guessed it, Lucas was the lucky taker. After that night, Kirsten and Lucas slowly became inseparable. They hung out more and more, and eventually, Lucas asked Kirsten to be his girlfriend (via text might I add) on March 14th, 2011. The two of them went off to college and obtained their bachelor’s degrees. Worked all different jobs. Rented their first apartment together. Adopted their cat, Winnie. Took the jump and moved to North Carolina in 2017. They soon adopted their dog, Odie. Moved some more, and eventually bought their first home in Raleigh. And on March 14th, 2021, exactly 10 years later, Lucas got down on one knee by the fire pit of their AirBnb in Asheville, NC to ask Kirsten to marry him.
