Question

Is this event a wedding with a ceremony, or just a celebration?

Answer

This event is a celebration of marriage, with no formal wedding ceremony. As most of you know, we will be getting married just three weeks prior at a very small and private ceremony. In full candor, we decided to keep our formal ceremony between immediate family and a couple of close friends. While shopping for venues and brainstorming ideas on how to tie the knot, we realized having a small ceremony and a larger post celebration far outweighed the other options. Now we have the privilege of celebrating separately with you all! Most importantly, this robust approach led us to seeing the true importance of our marriage: pledging our deep love for one another.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones at our celebration unless specifically indicated on your envelope. If you are confused, when you RSVP and type in your name, you will see if you have a plus one! We want everyone to share in the celebration and will ensure folks will be around familiar and friendly company. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones - however, we have decided to keep our celebration an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening to have a fun date night!

Question

Should I bring a wedding gift? If so, is there a registry?

Answer

While this ceremony is a celebration of marriage, we would happily accept any gifts if you feel inclined. We do not have a formal registry, so if you decide to bring anything we would encourage cash/checks or something for our cats to enjoy! Big, small or nothing at all, your presence with us this evening is the true gift!

Question

What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date we have provided, it will be marked as "No". We will miss you celebrating with us, however we have to provide a total guest count to the venue & vendors in the timely manner they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What attire should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire to semi-formal. No jeans, please! There is an indoor and outdoor space at our venue, if that helps with your decision on attire. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, ivories & creams.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

There is street parking and the venue does provide a parking lot as well. There is extra parking across the street at the hotel that our venue also owns. If you're looking to stay the night afterwards, this would be a perfect place to stay.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please party accordingly and have a way to get home safely.

Question

Where should we stay overnight?

Answer

While the venue has a hotel across the street, availability is incredibly slim. We recommend the below hotel, which is conveniently located only a half mile north of the venue in Troy, NY. Courtyard Troy/Albany Waterfront 515 River St Troy, NY 12180 United States
