Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Wesley Garrison and Tia Williams
Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail, HI

This is more of a walk than a hike since the road to the lighthouse is paved. Easy walk. The tide pools are for the more adventurous type; key to remember is that you hike down first and must hike up after. If headed to the tide pools, pack a towel to dry your feet off before putting socks/shoes back on. I'd bring lunch and snorkel gear to swim in the tide pools.

Lanikai Pillbox Hike

Lanikai Pillbox Hike

Kailua, HI 96734

Located in Kailua. Easy walk/hike with excellent panoramic views of Kailua and Waimanalo (ocean to mountain). Very picturesque and a must do when in Hawaii. After the hike, go to the beach in Kailua or Lanikai. Possibly get some shave ice at Island Snow.

Diamond Head Crater Hike

Diamond Head Crater Hike

Kapahulu, Honolulu, HI 96815

Although it can get crowded with tourists, this hike is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Hawaii. Go early and beat the crowds to cross this off your list

Koko Crater Crater Hike

Koko Crater Crater Hike

Kokonani Street, Honolulu, HI 96825

This hike is very challenging, but offers some breathtaking views of Hawaii. The trail goes straight up the side of a crater and follows old railroad tracks. A great hike if you are looking for a workout!

Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, 96815

This will be one of the closest beaches for those staying at the Ala Moana Hotel. It is a great place to learn how to surf, but there will likely not be any swells this time of year. Snorkeling can be done here as well.

Ala Moana Shopping Center

Ala Moana Shopping Center

1450 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96814

The Ala Moana center is the largest open-air shopping mall in the world. You will find over 350 stores and restaurants here.
