Meagan (Wes's sister) thankfully knew what was best for the both of them even though they did not at the time and kept encouraging them both separately to talk to each other! Well, if you know Wes he is a tad bit stubborn so Sami had to strongly encourage him to meet her for ice cream on his birthday in 2019! They met at baked bear and talked for 2 hours this night and have been inseparable since!

Wes has always been great at being intentional with details he knew would mean a lot to Sami and surprising her even though she is the nosiest person on this planet! Wes had been texting and calling both of their families and friends to have a surprise graduation party for Sami which she thought was just date night! So the first surprise was being able to celebrate with their closest friends and family but at the end of the night he had the biggest surprise for her! He knew having her family and friends there to be apart of the memory of him asking her to be his wife was so important as she is extremely close with them all. But he also knew it would be hard for them to keep such a big secret so only her dad and his dad knew the big surprise. The memory of him being on one knee and being able to see the faces of everyone she loves immediately after is something she will never forget!
