Some may say it started before then, but on May 4, 2016 a yound boy asked a girl to be his girlfriend. The went on a few dates, shared a few kisses, and grew closer as friends. Mallory and Wesley graduated in 2017 and both decided on seperate colleges starting that Fall. Wesley packed up to Central Methodist University and Mallory went to Three Rivers College. The distance was rough on the young couple. They had went from seeing each ither every day to barely squeezing in a phone call a day. Wesley play basketball at college, so during the season he only got to come in about once a month. They learned to cherish their times together and make the most of them. Mallory starting nursing school in 2018, these were the most trying times of her schooling. She called Wesley crying and in panic several times. They learned to pray and calm each others nerves. During Mallory’s third semester of nursing, she kept teasing Wesley, “If I make it through this semester, you’re going to have to reward me and give me a ring.” They both would laugh about the comment. Little did Mallory know, those were his plans. On December 27, 2019, Mallory and Wesley headed to Silver Dollar City with some friends, Tommy and Kalene. Wesley hid the ring in Tommy’s fanny pack, and waited for the perfect moment. You see Mallory is obsessed with Christmas. Her favorite part is the lights. He waited until it was good and dark and the park was lit up with all the lights. He convinced Mallory to go take a picture in front of the giant tree in the park. He then got on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was literally everything Mallory had dreamed about. It was done at her favorite place, during her favorite season, by her favorite person. With all that said, that leads us to now, their Wedding day.
